Jet ski operator Ashworth Burnett appeared before Master Shah yesterday, charged with the manslaughter of seven-year-old schoolgirl Angelica Saydee Jogie in Tobago three months ago.Burnett, 33, of Canaan, was denied bail and remanded in custody.

The matter was postponed to October 20 for a status hearing.Angelica and her family were bathing at Pigeon Point Marine Park beach in Tobago when tragedy struck on April 8 as a jet ski crashed into her.Her father and uncle were also injured.Angelica, a San Fernando TML Primary School student, died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries.
