People living along the banks of the Godavari and Sabari rivers have been alerted about the heavy inflows into the two rivers in the next 48 hours, due to the continuous rainfall reported in Chhattisgarh, Odisha and Maharashtra. In an official release, Chintoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer Subham Nokwal said that inflows into Sabari and Godavari are expected to rise and the first warning of Godavari flood would likely be issued at Bhadrachalam by Friday evening. Control rooms have been established in submergence areas of the Polavaram irrigation project in Polavaram district. Those in need of any assistance can dial the control rooms;
