July 30 (UPI) -- Former Green Bay Packers running back Ahman Green was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease, he announced.

Green, 49, made the announcement on an episode of the Go Long podcast, which was published Wednesday. The 12-year NFL veteran was diagnosed with the progressive brain disorder in 2025.

"Last year, I got diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson's," Green said. "I had a little bit of the feet twitching when I'm in my sleep and stuff like that. I knew something was going on long before that.

I just got ahold of some doctors that I was able to get in contact with, get the diagnostics, get the testing, and finally got it tested last -- it was January of 2025. I didn't share it for a long time because I wanted to let my kids know, my family."
