The Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, has begun admissions to its 65 Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes for the July 2026-27 cycle, according to vice-chancellor A.P. Gnana Prakash.Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, he said admissions, which began on June 22, will be open for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, undergraduate diploma, and certificate programmes, and postgraduate certificate courses.Students can log on to www.ksoumysuru.ac.in to submit online applications, he said.The vice-chancellor said that if a student pursuing a regular programme in any college under the conventional method cannot continue the studies, such a student can seek lateral entry or direct entry to the second- and third-year courses at KSOU. However, the student will have to fulfil the conditions laid down by the university.He said KSOU is also offering 10 online courses covering both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.Prof. Prakash said that students can also download the KSOU Academic Platform app to get information and upload assignments.The university has also introduced the KSOU Drushyavahini YouTube channel to support distance learners.KSOU is now the only university in the State offering ODL courses, he said.
