Bangladesh has recorded three more deaths from dengue in a 24-hour count while 534 patients were hospitalised.

The death toll from the Aedes mosquito-borne disease has reached 50 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with 32 deaths recorded in July alone.

The health directorate bulletin issued on Wednesday said one death each was recorded in Dhaka, Mymensingh and Barishal divisions in the 24 hours from 8am on Tuesday.

Of them, 65 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka North City Corporation and 56 in Dhaka South.

Another 131 were admitted to hospitals in divisions outside Dhaka's two city corporations.
