With just over three weeks to go until the start of the Premier League season, Newcastle United are changing head coaches.

Eddie Howe will leave in the next few days, with Matthias Jaissle of Al Ahli set to replace him.

Howe has spent nearly five years in charge at St James’ Park, leading the club into the Champions League twice and to a first trophy in 70 years.

Jaissle, 38, is a two-time Asian Champions League winner with Al Ahli – who, like Newcastle, are majority owned by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF).
