TaskHer, the platform connecting homeowners with verified tradeswomen, has raised £650,000 from Trust for London, Resolution Ventures, Ufi Ventures, and Second Century Ventures.
Women make up under 3% of the UK’s skilled trades workforce — TaskHer’s entire thesis is that the sector’s talent shortage cannot be solved by recruiting from the same 97% that already exists.
The round will fund B2B expansion into housing associations, lettings agencies, and women’s refuges, building on a partnership with Refuge, the UK’s largest domestic abuse charity.
A repair visit to a home riddled with distrust from an abusive partner is not routine work. TaskHer, the platform that books verified tradeswomen for UK homeowners, has spent the past year sending its network into exactly those situations, supplying trauma-informed maintenance to domestic abuse safe houses run by Refuge, the UK’s largest domestic abuse charity. It has now raised £650,000 to do more of it.
The round was co-led by Trust for London, Resolution Ventures, Ufi Ventures and Second Century Ventures, as part of the REACH UK programme, with additional participation from angel investors via Daring Capital.
