Abyro Capital, a US-based venture capital firm focused on deep technology investments, will launch Beacon, a spacetech accelerator. The firm joined hands with T-Hub to launch the accelerator on August 3.Beacon will provide selected startups with an initial investment of $5,00,000, along with access to follow-on funding and strategic mentorship from spacetech founders and industry leaders. The eight-week cohort will provide global market opportunities. “As India’s private space ecosystem enters a new phase of growth, Beacon seeks to bridge the critical gap between breakthrough technology and early-stage institutional capital. It combines early-stage investment with the technical expertise, market validation and strategic mentorship to founders,” an Abyro Capital statement said here on Wednesday.“We believe India’s next generation of globally competitive SpaceTech companies will emerge from founders solving hard engineering problems,” Vamsi Kora, Founder and Managing Partner, Abyro Capital, said.T-Hub will serve as the ecosystem partner, enabling founders to leverage its innovation platform, startup network and industry ecosystem throughout the programme.
