But it rallied after opening and is now hovering around 24,330, up 0.1 per cent. The contract has a good support at 24,250 and this helped in the recovery post the gap-down open today. That said, there is a hurdle at 24,350. Only a clear breakout of this can lead to a sustainable intraday rally. Resistance above 24,350 is at 24,450.On the other hand, if Nifty futures falls and breaches the support at 24,250, it can turn the outlook weak, possibly leading to a decline to 24,100-24,000 support band.Considering the above, the next leg of trend depends on whether Nifty futures breach 24,350 or 24,200 first. Until then, the path will be unclear. Trading strategyBuy Nifty futures (Aug) if it breaks out of 24,350. Target and stop-loss can be 24,450 and 24,300 respectively. Instead, if Nifty futures slips below the support 24,200, initiate a fresh short position.
