Cathie Wood’s Ark Invest leaned into some of its highest-conviction growth themes on Wednesday, July 29, led by a broad push into Space Exploration Technologies (NASDAQ:SPCX), Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (NYSE:TSM), Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOGL).

The buying and selling spree came as those names sat near major news catalysts, with SpaceX facing heavy short bets, TSMC under pressure from a tech rotation and Amazon heading into an earnings watch period.

The SpaceX Trade Ark continued accumulation of SpaceX, with purchases spread across ARK Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKK), ARK Autonomous Technology & Robotics ETF (BATS:ARKQ), ARK Next Generation Internet ETF (BATS:ARKW) and ARK Space & Defense Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKX).

The transactions were estimated to be worth $14.5 million, based on the Elon Musk-led company's shares closing at $112.55.

The purchases come against a backdrop of rising bearish activity.
