The public should avoid the area, keep roads clear for emergency vehicles, and keep windows and doors closed if smoke is nearby.The heath is about 30 miles north-east from Ipswich. Suffolk County Council has confirmed the fire service has sent 14 fire engines and specialist equipment ' including Unimogs, drones and 4x4 quad bikes' , an official statement said.It added: " A Major Incident has been declared due to the size of the fire. Fire crews are working in coordination with mulitple emergency services to ensure the public are kept safe."Once again, members of the public are advised to avoid the area to allow our teams to carry out their essential work."This is a live news event.
