Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, Adedeji Omope
The Executive Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area, Adedeji Omope, has pledged to expand infrastructure development, youth empowerment and social intervention programmes across the council, saying his administration remains committed to delivering more dividends of democracy to residents.
Omope made the pledge on Wednesday during activities marking his first anniversary in office, where more than 2,000 residents also received bags of rice as part of the council’s efforts to cushion the effects of the current economic hardship.
Speaking at the event, the council boss thanked residents for their support over the past year, describing the administration’s achievements as the product of a strong partnership between the government and the people.
“Today, I stand before you with a heart filled with gratitude to Almighty God and deep appreciation to the good people of Bariga LCDA for the confidence, support and cooperation you have given this administration over the past one year,” she said.
