The official trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Children of Blood and Bone is here.
Set in the world of “ORÏSHA”, the fantasy film – based on Tomi Adeyemi’s New York Times Bestselling novel – follows a young woman on a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people. She and her brother join forces with the king’s daughter and son to fight back against his brutal rule.
In the trailer, Zelie (Thuso Mbedu) and her older brother, Tzain (Tosin Cole), team up with the king’s daughter, Princess Amari (Amandla Stenberg), and his son, Prince Inan (Damson Idris), to fight against the oppression of their people. Set against the backdrop of Africa and featuring Beyoncé’s “Energy” alongside a new original song from Tems and Burna Boy, the trailer offers a first look at the world of Children of Blood and Bone.
The Gina Prince-Bythewood-directed film rounds up an all-star cast, including Regina King as Queen Nehanda, Idris Elba as Lekan, Viola Davis as Mama Agba, and Cynthia Erivo as Admiral Kaea.
