FIFA president Gianni Infantino unveiled plans this week to create a $20 billion (€17.5 billion) company to run the World Cup with private investors, including Joshua Kushner, the brother of Jared Kushner and linked to the Trump family through his sister-in-law Ivanka Trump, the daughter of US President Donald Trump.
The proposed commercial subsidiary, FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE), would oversee competitions including the World Cup and Club World Cup, as first reported by_The Times of London_, which football experts say could change the nature of the competition forever.
