NEW YORK, July 29 (UPI) -- Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, Bridgerton and Sweetpea alum Calam Lynch plays a rogue assassin's handler in Prime Video's new action-comedy, "Ride or Die."
The show follows Judith (Hannah Waddingham) as her cover is blown trying to help her unsuspecting best friend Debbie (Octavia Spencer) whose politician husband David (Jamie Parker) is murdered -- not by Judith! -- because he stole millions of dollars from a crime syndicate.
"Sam works at the Assassination Agency where Judith is employed as an assassin and he's kind of a handler," Lynch, 31, told UPI in a Zoom interview Tuesday. "So, technically, he's her boss, though I'm sure Hannah wouldn't love me saying that."
Helping Sam clean up Judith's messes and facilitating her and Debbie's daring escapes is Queenie, Sam's tech-savvy partner, played by Savannah Steyn.
