Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi sack Union Home Minister Amit Shah and order a Supreme Court-monitored probe into the alleged police action against protesting students. He alleged that students in Delhi were brutalised and hit with pellet guns, and said the Home Minister must take moral responsibility, as actions by the Home Ministry require the Home Minister's approval.
