JB Park, CEO and President of Samsung Southwest Asia, told a London roundtable that Samsung has absorbed rising memory costs for eight months and is carrying what he called a humongous loss in 2026. Counterpoint Research found DRAM rises pushed low-end phone component costs up 25 per cent against 10 per cent at the high end. Foldables are now over 20 per cent of Samsung's flagship sales.
