MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. Vladimir Zelensky's cold reception in the United States has shown that the American administration does not see him as the leader of a sovereign state, and President Donald Trump harbors personal resentment toward him, Alexander Dudchak, a leading researcher at the Institute of CIS Countries and an expert with the Other Ukraine movement, told TASS.
According to media, Zelensky's ceremonial welcome upon arrival in Washington was more than restrained. Only the pilot shook his hand at the ramp, and Zelensky was escorted into the West Wing of the White House, where the Oval Office is located, from a side entrance. At the farewell ceremony for Senator Lindsey Graham (listed on the Russian list of terrorists and extremists), Zelensky and Foreign Minister Andrey Sibiga sat in the fifth row, while Trump was in the first.
"This suggests that Ukraine is being used in a way that is convenient for the West, and there is no special attitude to this Nazi administration in Kiev. You can say that a farmer also sincerely loves his cows, but he raises them to use them for meat. There is the same interaction here. They may call themselves partners in Kiev, but they perfectly understand where their place is, and this is regularly demonstrated to them. Meeting at the airport, ushering not from the central porch - all this demonstrates that no one welcomes him as the leader of a sovereign state. He flew in and flew out," Dudchak said.
