The Malkajgiri Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (M-FAST) team of the Uppal Zone, in coordination with the Medipally police, seized 980 kg of suspected adulterated paneer and two sport utility vehicles during a raid at Narapally Main Road near Nandanavanam Park under the limits of Medipally police station on Wednesday.The team intercepted the SUVs that were allegedly transporting paneer manufactured under unhygienic conditions from unlicensed units at Pembarthi and Pochanapet villages in Jangaon district.According to the police, the paneer was unbranded, unpacked and did not carry manufacturing or expiry dates. It was allegedly being supplied to buyers illegally.Two persons, identified as Chamakuri Ram Reddy and Jula Srinivas, both engaged in the paneer business, were named in connection with the case.The police seized the 980 kg of paneer along with the two SUVs.
