Gemini in Google Docs can now summarize comments, act on feedback, draft replies, and add new comments for eligible Workspace users.

Google is improving Gemini in Google Docs with a new feature that helps you analyze reviewer feedback, rewrite document text based on suggestions, draft responses for open threads, and even add new ones. Rollout has already begun for accounts on Business, Enterprise, Education, and Google AI Pro tiers.
To add a comment with Gemini, you simply ask the AI to flag specific sections, like requesting a review on launch statistics or running a full proofread for tone across every chapter. Same goes for replies. Just ask Gemini to, for example, reply to a colleague confirming launch dates or link to recent presentation decks stored in Google Drive.
