Asian Paints, the country’s largest paint producer, has reported that its net profit in the June quarter was up at ₹1,559 crore, against ₹1,117 crore logged in the same period last year, on the back of better realisation.Revenue increased to ₹10,542 crore (₹8,939 crore). Profit before depreciation, interest, tax and other income increased by 33 per cent to ₹2,169 crore (₹1,625 crore).The company’s decorative business volume increased 9 per cent, supported by calibrated pricing actions, translating into a robust value growth of 17 per cent.Industrial coatings sustained its mid-teen growth trajectory, with a more than 16 per cent rise in value.In an environment that has remained uncertain, the performance reflects the company’s innovation-led strategy, deeper consumer connect and continued strengthening of service propositions in the market, the company said.International business delivered healthy growth across key markets, along with margin expansion, with West Asia performing particularly well despite market challenges arising from the ongoing conflict in the region.Home Décor continued to make steady progress through the Beautiful Homes network and strengthening of the customer relationship.Amit Syngle, Managing Director & CEO, Asian Paints said the company delivered strong profitability, supported by measured price increases, better product mix, formulation and sourcing efficiencies, besides disciplined cost management.With volatility in raw material prices, the company will stay agile and continue to focus on tech innovation and customer centricity to maintain the market, he said.The international business recorded a 27 per cent rise in net sales to ₹936 crore (₹736 crore) led by units in Egypt, the UAE, Oman, Nepal and Bangladesh.Net sales in the bath fittings business were down 4 per cent to ₹85 crore, while the loss before tax increased to ₹9 crore (₹2 crore).Net sales in the kitchen business increased by 10 per cent to ₹108 crore (₹98 crore), while loss before tax fell to ₹0.3 crore (₹9 crore).Published on July 29, 2026
