The government has issued an order revising the uniform of nursing cadre in the Health Department, societies and autonomous bodies.As per the revised uniform, female nursing staff under the cadres of Nursing Officer, Senior Nursing Officer category, Assistant Nursing Superintendent and Deputy Nursing Superintendent will wear camel colour salwar suit and white overcoat. While the Nursing Officer will wear an overcoat with half sleeves, staff under other categories will wear overcoat with full sleeves. The male nursing staff will wear camel colour formal shirt and coffee pants with white overcoat. The change in uniform colour will come into effect within a month, said an official.
