20-Point Programme Chairman Lanka Dinakar on Wednesday said that the State and Central governments were preparing an action plan to address the challenges of aqua farmers.Along with West Godavari District Collector Chadalavada Nagarani, Mr. Dinakar has reviewed the progress and implementation of various central-government-sponsored schemes in the fields of health, education and drinking water.Addressing the officials, Mr. Dinakar said, “The aquafarmers of West Godavari district produced 9.64 lakh Metric Tonnes of fish and shrimp worth of ₹24,345 crore during the financial year 2025-26. However, their challenges are being addressed both by the State and Central governments.”On the education sector, Mr. Dinakar has directed the district officials to ensure zero dropout of school students in the West Godavari district.Mr. Dinakar was told by the officials concerned that the Central and State governments have sanctioned ₹246 crore for rejuvenation of ponds and drinking water in the West Godavari district.
