As the spotlight shone on the Miss Universe Kenya 2026 stage, one outfit stood out for celebrating Kenya's rich cultural identity freshly and authentically.
Designed by Scovia Miruka, the African-inspired ensemble moved away from the commonly used kitenge fabrics, instead embracing intricate beadwork that reflected the country's diverse heritage.
Speaking to TNX Africa, Miruka said the inspiration behind the design was to create a look that was unmistakably Kenyan while honouring the traditions shared by communities across the country.
