Attempts to identify the person will prove complicated due to the fact only the torso has been discovered.The remains are now being forensically examined at the Institute of Legal Medicine in Malaga in order to determine the cause of death and the identity of the victim. All hypotheses are currently considered by investigators, including accidental death and third-party involvement.‌No further details such as the gender or age of the deceased have been released by Spanish authorities and enquiries remain ongoing.Alhaurín de la Torre is close to the nearby busy coastal strip which includes popular destinations for British holidaymakers and expats like Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola.The location where the remains were discovered is relatively isolated and away from the main tourist thoroughfares.
