Anthropic has limited the visibility of shared conversations with its AI tool Claude, after hundreds of the chats were found to be visible in public searches, many containing personal or corporate information.
The issue surfaced over the weekend, when users of a Reddit forum about Claude found that search engines had indexed the claude.ai/share section of Anthropic’s website.
When a user specified that section of the site in a search, with no other search term, a list about 25 pages long was displayed of hundreds of shared conversations that could be viewed at will.
