History was scripted at the rain-hit Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow on Tuesday night (July 28, 2026) when Gulveer Singh became the first Indian male athlete to win a Commonwealth Games medal in the men’s 10,000m final.The 28-year-old produced a fantastic run at the Games here to clinch silver in a time of 27:49.78. The gold was won Ky Robinson of Australia in a time of 27:48.93s while David Mullarkey of Isle of Man bagged bronze (27:50.28s).The medal was hardly a surprise, given Gulveer’s form heading into the event.
