Ukraine has moved to ease tensions with Iran after Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha reportedly spoke by phone with his Iranian counterpart, Seyed Abbas Araghchi, assuring Tehran that an alleged attack on an Iranian commercial vessel was accidental and that Kyiv wanted to prevent further escalation.
The diplomatic engagement followed Iran's allegation that Ukraine was responsible for attacking one of its commercial vessels in the Caspian Sea.
