Eurobank has been named “Greece’s Best Digital Bank” at the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026, recognizing the lender’s digital transformation strategy, technology investments and customer-focused innovation.The annual awards, presented by financial magazine Euromoney, have recognized leading financial institutions worldwide for more than three decades based on performance, innovation and value creation.According to the bank, the award was granted for its digital transformation strategy, the development of technology-driven banking services and the measurable results of its digital initiatives. Under the Euromoney methodology, winners are selected based on documented submissions, predefined criteria, quantitative and qualitative data, and an independent research process.The evaluation for the digital banking award covered Eurobank’s digital transformation strategy, investments in technology and innovation, digital services for retail and business customers, customer experience and the measurable impact of its initiatives.Eurobank said its strategy focuses on simplifying everyday banking through artificial intelligence applications, advanced data analytics, enhanced Open Banking services, fully digital customer journeys and product distribution, as well as services designed with usability, accessibility and customer experience in mind.Among the digital products highlighted by the bank are EverydayInvest, Eurobank Teens and the Travellers Prepaid Card, which are designed to address the needs of different customer groups.The bank also pointed to growing adoption of its digital services. In 2026, 96% of all transactions are carried out through digital channels, one in three banking products is purchased exclusively online, and seven out of ten digital customers use the Eurobank Mobile App for their banking transactions.The latest recognition follows Eurobank’s digital banking award at the Euromoney Awards in 2024, underscoring what the bank said is its continued commitment to expanding digital services and delivering a simpler, more secure and more personalized banking experience.
