ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd’s (PTCL) consolidated revenue grew by 62 per cent during the first half of the current calendar year, while consolidated operating profit surged 226pc and net profit reached Rs4.7bn, reflecting the benefits from the successful amalgamation of Ufone and Telenor under Pak Telecom Mobile Ltd (PTML).
The financial results were announced for the half year ended June 30, after a meeting of the company’s board of directors on Tuesday.
PTCL’s revenue grew by 8pc compared to the same period last year, driven by a 27pc increase in Flash Fiber revenue and a 13pc growth in Business Solutions, supported by 16pc growth in Carrier & Wholesale services, while international business revenue increased by 3pc.
