Meta adds AI chatbot to private messages on Threads

Meta is rolling out its Meta AI chatbot on Threads, allowing users to interact with the AI assistant in private messages.

According to Ukrinform, TechCrunch reported this.

Previously, Threads users in select markets could already interact with Meta AI in public posts, similar to how the Grok chatbot is used on the social network X. The new integration also allows users to communicate with the AI-powered assistant in private messages.

This makes it possible to send Meta AI posts, images, links, and videos from Threads directly in the chat. Users can also ask follow-up questions and receive more detailed information on topics that interest them.

The company stated that the update began rolling out worldwide on Monday.
