The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Abbey Bank Plc, Mobolaji Adewumi, has declared that true wealth creation begins with investing in young minds, urging graduating cadets to translate their training into national economic impact.

Adewumi made the statement in a keynote address at the 2026 Speech and Prize‑Giving Ceremony held recently at the Nigerian Military School, Zaria, Kaduna State.

Delivering his paper titled Leveraging the Learning Environment in NMS: A Pathway for Achieving Your Future Aspirations, the bank chief stressed that equipping the next generation with financial awareness, tools, and resilience is critical to navigating an evolving global market.

“The discipline, resilience, and leadership values you have acquired at the Nigerian Military School are assets that extend far beyond these walls,” Adewumi said, while challenging the graduating class to deploy those principles towards personal and societal advancement.

He noted that continuous learning, adaptability, and ethical conduct remain essential pillars for long‑term national development. Related News Nigeria’s net foreign liabilities climb to $90.2bn Oloyede’s class act in public relations Keyamo unveils Kano terminal, announces N46bn runway upgrade
