iOS 26.6 is now available for iPhone users. Here’s everything you need to know about the update, and why it’s more important than you may think.

Apple released the first iOS 26.6 beta on May 26, followed by four more betas for developers and public beta testers. Last week, it released the iOS 26.6 Release Candidate (RC).
After those two months of beta testing, iOS 26.6 was released to everyone on Monday, July 27. You can update by going to the Settings app on your iPhone, choosing General, then choosing Software Update. You can choose to install the update right away, or have it automatically installed overnight.
