New Delhi: The Competition Commission of India on Tuesday said it has cleared two proposals, including global alternative asset manager Brookfield Asset Management's acquisition of certain Oaktree group entities and amalgamation of Go Digit General Insurance's holding company with the new-age insurer.In a statement, it said Brookfield Asset Management is acquiring units of Oaktree Capital Group Holdings and Oaktree Equity Plan.Brookfield Asset Management, controlled by Brookfield Corporation, has more than $1 trillion of assets under management. The Oaktree group is engaged in alternative investment management services.In a separate statement, the regulator said Go Digit General Insurance (GDGIL) will be the surviving entity after its amalgamation with its holding company Go Digit Infoworks Services.
