Honor has confirmed more details about its Robot Phone this week, including an official launch date on the same day as Google’s Pixel 11 launch.
In a press release this week, Honor touts “AiMAGE” and its ARRI partnership as bolstering the camera experience on the upcoming Robot Phone, but it was at an event in China that Honor provided some technical specs.
As highlighted by NotebookCheck, the Honor Robot Phone will pack a total of three rear cameras. The main 200MP sensor in the gimbal/robot arm has a 1/1.28-inch sensor at f/1.6 while the other two cameras are fixed into the body of the device. One is a 50MP ultrawide, while the other is a 200MP periscope telephoto shooter. Honor is also using a custom imaging chip, the Honor Yuguang H1 as shared on Weibo.
The cameras support professional editing features, as Honor explains:
Through its Strategic Technology Cooperation with ARRI, HONOR is integrating selected elements of professional cinema workflow into mobile imaging. This includes ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3 and ARRI Looks, bringing a more professional color and workflow foundation to the HONOR Robot Phone.
