ICRA has assigned a “A1+” rating to Capri Global Capital Ltd’s (CGCL) ₹1,500 crore Commercial Paper programme.Instruments with “A1+” rating are considered to have very strong degree of safety regarding timely payment of financial obligations and such instruments carry the lowest credit risk.To arrive at the rating, ICRA, in a statement, said it has considered the consolidated performance of CGCL and its subsidiaries (together referred to as the CGCL Group), given the significant operational and business synergies in addition to the shared name and management oversight.The assigned rating factors in the CGCL Group’s diversified lending book with a presence across the gold, housing, micro, small and medium enterprise (MSME) and construction finance segments. It also offers other financial services, the agency added.Meanwhile, CGCL reported a 102 per cent y-o-y jump in first quarter consolidated net profit at ₹353 crore against ₹175 crore in the year-ago quarter on the back of robust growth in net interest income and a decent growth in non-interest income.The consolidated assets under management was up 62 per cent y-o-y and stood at ₹40,112 crore as at June-end 2026. Within this, gold loans saw the highest growth of 111 per cent, followed by affordable housing (42 per cent), construction finance (40 per cent) and MSME loans (24 per cent).Published on July 28, 2026
