Home Minister V Anitha and Minister for Tribal Welfare Minister Gummadi Sandhya Rani held an interactive meeting with tribal association leaders, legal experts, public representatives and members of the tribal community at Paderu in ASR district on Tuesday.During the interaction, representatives of various tribal organisations presented their views, concerns and suggestions regarding the implementation of the Fifth Schedule of the Constitution of India, G.O. Ms. No. 3, and the AP Scheduled Areas Land Transfer Regulation, 1959 (Regulation I of 1970).Speaking during the meeting, Ms. Sandhya Rani said that the government and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, are firmly committed to safeguarding the rights of tribal people. She further added that after detailed consultations with legal experts and careful examination of all constitutional and legal aspects, the government would take a decision that is in the best interests of the tribal community.The Ministers also informed that a high-level committee, comprising of Collectors and Superintendents of Police of ASR, Polavaram and Parvathipuram Manyam districts, would be constituted to comprehensively examine the views of tribal communities, suggestions of legal experts and administrative aspects, after which a detailed report would be submitted to the Government.A large number of tribal association leaders, legal experts, public representatives and government officials participated in the meeting.Collector ASR district T.
