Bollywood Hungama reported that he suffered a heart attack in London on July 26. Members of his family confirmed the news of his demise through an official statement released by his niece, Gina Narang. The family also requested privacy as they come to terms with their loss. Sharing the statement, Gina Narang said, "With heavy hearts, our family mourns the passing of Suneil Anand. We are comforted by the outpouring of love, prayers, and support, for which we are truly grateful. Despite receiving an education outside India, he eventually chose to follow his family's cinematic path. The Anand family has played a significant role in shaping Hindi cinema over several decades.
