Airline fuel surcharge set to rise anew

MANILA, Philippines — Air travelers flying within and out of the Philippines will face higher fares starting in August after the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) approved a higher jet fuel surcharge due to rising global oil prices.

From Aug. 1 to 15, airlines may collect a Level 13 fuel surcharge, charging passengers an additional P423 to P1,237 for domestic flights and P1,396.74 to P10,385.42 for international routes.
