T-Mobile had a widespread outage on July 27, leaving tens of thousands of its customers without service.In a statement shared with USA TODAY, the company said it was “actively working” to get the service restored, adding, “We know how critical it is to stay connected, and every available resource is focused on resolving this as quickly as possible.”At its peak, more than 64,000 T-Mobile customers were reporting issues with their service according to Downdetector, and many of them were not happy about it.T-Mobile users vent frustrationsOn X, people were venting their frustrations while others described how they were dealing with the outage.“Chilis guest WiFi saving me from being stuck in SOS mode right now because of T-Mobile outage,” wrote one user.“I pay too much on my phone bill for T-Mobile not to be working,” wrote another. “T-Mobile got under my a skin a lil bit,” someone else wrote.Another said, “T mobile is DEFINITELY about to hear my mouth. My phone been on SOS for 3 hours.”One person posted to X after having their service restored, writing, “And we back after hours lol T-Mobile imma need a discount on that bill.”Someone else said leaving T-Mobile was the “best decision” they ever made.Outage hits T-Mobile subsidiariesIn addition to T-Mobile’s namesake brand experiencing an outage, several other subsidiaries of the company were also affected.According to Downdetector, discount carrier Mint Mobile received 3,261 outage reports on July 27, while Metro by T-Mobile received 2,141.Drew Pittock covers national trending news for USA TODAY.
