Supercomputing push gathers pace
Ms Nan says the ministry is working to ensure people of all ages can benefit from quantum technology.
The Digital Economy and Society (DES) Ministry plans to accelerate the development of the national quantum technology roadmap, aiming to leverage advanced supercomputing capabilities to support public services.The initiative focuses on public health and agriculture, with the goal of transforming Thailand into a food powerhouse.
The supercomputing scheme could also help address the challenges of a rapidly ageing society.
Speaking at the Thailand Quantum Readiness Workshop on July 24, Nan Boonthida Somchai, deputy DES minister, said quantum technology has moved beyond theoretical research to become a critical industrial necessity.
