Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met newly appointed UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham at a British naval base on Monday, where the two discussed joint drone production and Kyiv's urgent need for ballistic missile interceptors to defend against escalating Russian attacks.
The meeting took place aboard the aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth, docked in Portsmouth on England's south coast.
"You are the first leader I have welcomed in person since taking office, and that is no accident,” Burnham told Zelenskyy.
