Hannah Fry, 29, died in hospital after becoming unwell at a property in Longridge, Lancashire, with police arresting two men as part of an investigation into her death19:56, 27 Jul 2026A family have issued a heartbreaking tribute to a "devoted" mum who "lit up every room she entered" as police investigate her death.‌Hannah Fry, 29, is understood to have become unwell at a property on Meadow Croft, Longridge, in Lancashire while police officers were at the scene on July 13.‌She was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she could not be saved.‌Lancashire Police have said a man, 31, arrested first on suspicion of coercive and controlling behaviour and later further arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. He has been bailed as the investigation continues.Another man has also been arrested and bailed, said the force.Hannah's parents Kevin and Sarah Harcup have shared a tribute saying she was the "greatest gift we could ever have received".‌They stated: "We are devastated to announce the tragic and sudden passing of our beloved daughter, Hannah Eidann Fry, on Monday, 13th July. Hannah was our beautiful and only daughter, the light of our lives and the love in our hearts and souls."She was a devoted mother to her two precious daughters, a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, and a loyal, loving friend to so many. She will always be remembered for her madcap sense of humour, her infectious laugh, and her ability to light up every room she entered."Hannah had an extraordinary capacity for love, kindness, compassion, and loyalty. She was truly one of a kind, and there will never be another like her. She will be forever missed, not only by our family but by the countless people whose lives she touched. Her middle name, Eidann, means Gift from God, and she truly was the greatest gift we could ever have received."‌A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said: "Hannah’s death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries into what led to it are ongoing."Following enquiries after Hannah's death, a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of coercive and controlling behaviour and was later further arrested on suspicion of manslaughter.
