Among them, Argentina’s Lionel Messi is the player with the most victories in the men’s tournament (now up to 23, even if the team fell to Spain in the final); France’s Kylian Mbappé is the all-time World Cup top scorer (22 goals); and Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo is the player to have scored in the most editions of the competition (six).
Chart records related to the World Cup were also rewritten in recent weeks, led by Shakira and Burna Boy’s “Dai Dai (FIFA World Cup Official Song 2026),” which shouts out the three stars, among others. Most notably, the joyous collaboration became the first World Cup anthem to top both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.
