Kremlin ruler Vladimir Putin has signed a decree increasing the authorised strength of the Armed Forces of Russia by 25,000 personnel – the second such decision since the start of summer.

Quote from the ministry: "The authorised strength of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation has been set at 2,426,130 personnel, including 1,535,000 servicemen. The relevant decree was signed by Putin."
