FDA’s 2021 sodium reduction targets had little impact

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. — A voluntary sodium reduction target issued by the FDA in 2021 has not produced any major impacts, according to new data presented at the annual NUTRITION meeting. Matti Marklund, PhD, an assistant professor in the department of international health at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, told Healio that the findings are concerning and “suggest
