The presenting legend shared that he would not be filming the show this year, having being the host since 2020.‌In a statement given to Radio Times, Walsh revealed that scheduling conflicts were preventing him from returning to the show: "I just don't have the time, which is sad because I've loved Blankety Blank. It's been one of my favourite shows, and it's been brilliant...‌"It's the most fun you can have in the studio, and I just cannot at the moment work on it. I just have not got the time. I would normally go to studio October, but I'm all taken up in October and November, so I just haven't time to do it. Maybe next year.”‌This year, Walsh is set to go on tour with The Prat Pack, described as "an exclusive evening with Britain's best loved stars". The quartet includes Walsh, EastEnders star Shane Richie, Joe Pasquale and Brian Conley.Rehearsals for the show begin just a week after he finishes filming Gladiators, which will be followed by a month-long tour. After that, he said he would usually going back to Blankety Blank, but couldn't due to commitments to projects he cannot reveal yet.‌Walsh has been hosting Blankety Blank since the show was revived again in 2020. He hosted a Christmas Special that year and returned again in October 2021 to present a full series. Another series came in September 2022, and again in September 2023. There was a fourth series in April 2025 and a fifth in April 2026.The comedy game show first started airing in 1979, and saw contestants try to match answers given by celebrity panellists to fill-in-the-blank questions. Initially, it was hosted by Terry Wogan. In 1983, Les Dawson took over. The first revival, which aired from 1997 to 1999, was hosted by Paul O'Grady's alter ego, Lily Savage.‌Bradley Walsh is well known as a game show host. Back in 1997, he got one of his first television gigs as a host of Wheel of Fortune. He later hosted his own quiz show Spin Star, which saw five contestants answer questions to build up a cash prize that could be won by a sixth.In 2009, he started hosting The Chase, which cemented him as an icon of quiz TV. The franchise has since expanded to incllude The Celebrity Chase, Beat The Chasers and The Chase Around The World.
