Another drone entered Romanian airspace in the morning of Monday, July 27, before quickly returning to Ukraine, where several explosions were reported shortly afterward, according to Romania's Ministry of National Defence.
The Romania Journal reported the development, according to Ukrinform.
The ministry said its radar surveillance system detected an aerial target east of Sulina on Monday, July 27.
According to the statement, two F-16 fighter jets from the 86th Air Base in Fetești were scrambled at 8:53 a.m. to monitor the situation.
The target briefly entered Romania’s national airspace before crossing the border back into Ukraine. Shortly afterward, explosions were reported on Ukrainian territory,” the Ministry of National Defence said.
