The Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary G. Eswaraiah on Monday demanded a comprehensive investigation into the death of 15-year-old tribal student Murram Shivani and urged the Andhra Pradesh government to ascertain the circumstances that led to her alleged suicide.In a statement, Mr. Eswaraiah said the death of the Class X student from Irlapalli Kotha Colony in Rampachodavaram mandal had raised several unanswered questions and called for a transparent inquiry to establish the facts behind the incident.Recalling Shivani’s participation in the Mega Parent-Teacher Association meeting held in Rampachodavaram in the presence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, he said she had spoken with confidence and enthusiasm, earning appreciation from those present. Describing her as a bright student with a promising future, he said her sudden death was both shocking and tragic.Mr. Eswaraiah urged the government to investigate whether any circumstances or mental distress had driven the student to take the extreme step. He also appealed to the authorities to extend all possible assistance to the bereaved family and formulate a comprehensive plan to instil confidence among tribal students while addressing issues affecting their welfare.He said a fair and transparent investigation was essential to establish the truth, ensure justice and prevent similar incidents in the future.
