Shriram Farm Solutions, a division of DCM Shriram Ltd, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Indian Institute of Vegetable Research (ICAR-IIVR), Varanasi, for the transfer of breeder seeds for five vegetable crops. These are radish, spinach, pea, cowpea and okra.The MoU was signed on the occasion of the 98th Foundation Day of ICAR, in the presence of the Union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The agreement will provide Shriram Farm Solutions access to advanced vegetable breeding research and breeder seed material developed by ICAR-IIVR.Through this partnership, Shriram Farm Solutions will work towards translating scientific research into improved seed varieties suited to Indian farmers.
